Are you looking for God? A family-friendly church? A place to belong? Come worship with us at Nugent! We are a multi-generational, welcoming and growing community church. We have a food pantry and host a disaster recovery ministry. Worship happens on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. There are plenty of opportunities for friendship and spiritual formation, including family and children's ministries, a youth group, and young adult / adult Bible studies. Bring your kids, your parents, your friends, whomever -- EVERYONE is welcome here!

What a joy it is to serve as Nugent United Methodist Church’s 60th Pastor!
My first sermon was preached on July 3rd, 2022, and I am looking forward to many more with this body of Christ.
I have been in the ministry for one year, am currently in seminary at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, and also serve part time at Gateway UMC.

I am a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, where I earned my degree in Psychology. Before answering the call to ministry, I spent 7+ years working for Keesler Federal Credit Union.
My wife, Stephanie, is also a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi. We have been married for eight years, have the three best dogs humans could have, and live in Wiggins, Ms.

I look forward to growing in Christ with you and expand Nugent’s “footprint” in the kingdom together!

Child Development Center
Nugent Child Development Center is a non-profit corporation operated to reflect the highest values and the best care possible while providing quality education for young children. Everyday classroom experiences are presented within a Christian atmosphere. Children of all faiths are welcome. Nugent CDC is licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health through the childcare licensure branch. We provide childcare in a full-time, year-round program for children from ages 1 year thru 5 years. We support the essential nurturing provided by parents. Our emphasis is offering experiences closely related to those your child has at home. We build on the uniqueness of each individual child. We provide a safe and stimulating environment that further strengthens your child’s quest for independence and self-confidence. In addition to physical care for you child, we provide a child development curriculum for preschoolers. Daily activities may include arts and crafts, music, math, health and science concepts, dramatic play, outside play, special visitors, and field trips. With a combination of education and care, we teach and reinforce Christian values for your child.
